How it works
Before April 26-27
Plan your journey by neighbourhood, bus, or bike using the resources on our website and the nifty maps made by our partners! If you’re driving, we strongly suggest carpooling to make the voyage as fun, earth-friendly, and easy (parking wise) as possible.
On April 26-27
- On Saturday, April 26, pick-up an Indie Bookstore Extravaganza passport from any participating bookstore. Your passport will also contain a card to tally your points at the conclusion of your indie bookstore adventure.
- For every bookstore you visit, you will receive a stamp or signature in your passport. You only need to visit ONE location of a bookstore (ex. Wee Book Inn or Daisy Chain) to receive a stamp.
- At the end of your bookstore journey, tally up your points using your card. Present your passport and card to staff at your concluding bookstore. Once they sign it, you can fill out your information and submit your card to the prize draw!
- For every 25 points, you’ll receive ONE entry into the prize draw. This means that you don’t have to visit every single bookstore on the passport to enter, but you do have a higher chance of winning the more bookstores you get to! We will be drawing for a grand prize first, as well as multiple smaller prizes. Winners will be drawn the week of May 5.

Bike & Bus for Books Giveaway
If you’re biking or taking transit for the entirety of your journey, you can also enter to win a special social media giveaway! Post a photo or video of yourself on a bike or bus the weekend of April 26-27 during your adventure and tag @yegindiebookstores on Instagram or Bluesky. It must be a post, not a story. We will pick a winner the week of May 5.
