Welcome to Variant Edition Graphic Novels + Comics, Winner of the Harry Kramer Award for Most Outstanding Comic Shop in all of Canada! (2019 Shuster Awards)

Through curating a diverse line of remarkable works, we aim to connect as many new people as possible to the comics medium. We provide a relaxed, introvert friendly environment, where we foster an inclusive community that is also family friendly.

Owner Brandon Schatz is a Shuster Award winning comic retailer, and an Eisner Award nominated comics journalist. He is VE’s Comic Sommelier, pairing people with their perfect stories for over 18 years. In his spare time, he likes to watch wrestling with his cats and try his best to catch up on his reading. He will be buried under his “to be read” pile.
