With over 20 years of experience we aim to make every visit a delightful and personalized experience.

Hi! I’m Barry Bailey…

When I opened Bailey Books  it was a dream come true. For my wife too, because she finally got me and all my book stuff out of the house! I have a passion for searching for books, buying books, selling books, trading books and even making books! I’ve studied at the American Academy of Bookbinding in Telluride, Colorado the past few years learning the craft. So now I can create fine leather bindings and I do repairs on books that have been in the family for generations or read to pieces and need a little TLC. There is not much I’d rather be doing than spending time in the book store, surrounded by the sights and awesome aroma of old books and talking to fellow book lovers. There aren’t many of us left so come visit, browse and enjoy a trip back in time to an “old school” bookstore.

Hi!  I’m Lisa Bailey…

I’ve loved reading as long as a I can remember, but with a dad like mine that’s not much of a surprise.  In my youth I read every single unicorn book I could find, which naturally lead me becoming a rabid Stephen King fan as an adult!  I love creating a space where fellow book lovers can come together and share their passion. It’s important to me to foster a community where we can celebrate our love for books and connect over our favorite reads. Sustainability is a big deal for me, and I believe in giving pre-loved books a second chance. It’s a way to keep our literary history alive while reducing waste. I’ve also learned so much from my dad, who instilled in me the value of stories and the joy of sharing them.

I love connecting with people and I can’t wait to meet you!

The Enjoy Center down the road has a coffee shop, restaurant and food market. Our neighbour is a thrift store called Just Kids and they will be open for the weekend as well. We are also looking at getting a food truck. —Lisa
